When exactly should I be changing onto my summer tires again? Today it was 85 (ish) with a low of 45. Tomorrow has a high of 60 and a low of 37. I'm sure 85 isn't going to be the norm for a little while, but is it bad for the winter tires to drive at that temp? Since it's Kansas there is the distinct possibility that we could either have a massive heat wave or blizzard by tomorrow so I'm not real sure how to play this game...

I've had them on for 2 weeks.

Coming out to autocross one of these weekends? Cars and coffee next week?

I changed mine last week. Could be a bit early but if I remember right winter tires aren't made for use at temps over 40-45, and I had to make a 350 mile trip last week on a 60 degree day, plus it had been over 40 for a week.

Dang, maybe I should get on that then! I need to head out there one of these times! I am going to the ST Octane Academy thing in Utah in late April so maybe I need to prepare for that..

You going to C&C? If so, what time? I'm not sure what is going on this weekend yet, but I'd like to make it there at some point. I've been working crazy hours implementing a new EMR for our doctors so I'm not sure if they're going to need anything done.

As they say, on the nose. Always like new tires on a car - just makes the whole thing feel tighter.

Cars and Coffee is like 8am to Noon on Saturday at a place called Extremo Vino. I'll be there in the CRX. I'll make a post later this week to see if anyone wants to get together nearby and roll in together, but I'll try to be there between 8 and 9 regardless.

The next SCCA autocross is on the 29th.

After most of the potholes are filled is when I change them. Keep the extra squishy sidewalls until then.

Also, they'll be fine in the heat if you drive like a regular person and keep hooning to a minimum. I've done multiple full summers on winter tires and they don't explode or anything, just wear very very slightly more.

Fiesta ST. No hooning.

I don't understand the question!

To be safe I switched them out since Jake did.
